TL;DR
This page carries three things in one place: our privacy policy, the terms of use for this website, and the editorial standards we apply to everything we publish.
SYTalent is an executive search firm operating from Gurugram, Haryana, India, with a representative office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. All three policies below are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction.

Who we are
SYTalent is a specialist executive search firm for high-frequency trading, quantitative finance, trading technology, FinTech and investment leadership. Our head office is in Gurugram, Haryana, India. We maintain a representative office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For the purposes of this policy, SYTalent is the entity that determines how and why your personal data is processed.
What we collect
If you contact us as an employer. Your name, work email, telephone number, company, and whatever you choose to tell us about the role you are hiring for. We collect this when you submit the brief a search form, email us, or message us on WhatsApp.
If you are a candidate. Your name, contact details, curriculum vitae or professional profile, employment history, qualifications, and the notes our consultants make during a search. Candidate information reaches us in three ways: you send it to us, you give us permission to represent you, or we identify you through public professional sources such as LinkedIn or a company website in the ordinary course of executive search.
If you join the SYTalent Quant Network. Your name, email address and the role interests you select.
If you simply read the site. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not operate a cross-site advertising network. Our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which is used for security and to keep the site running.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We process employer data to respond to enquiries and to carry out a search engagement. We process candidate data to assess suitability for specific roles, to represent candidates to clients where they have agreed, and to stay in contact about relevant opportunities. Where you have given consent, such as joining the Quant Network, you can withdraw it at any time.
In executive search, some candidate information is first collected from public professional sources before any contact is made. That is the normal mechanics of the profession: we cannot ask permission to approach you before we have identified you. When we first make contact we tell you who we are, why we are approaching you, and where we found you, and if you ask us to delete your information we do.
Who we share it with
Clients, but only with the candidate's agreement, and only the information needed to assess the role fit.
Service providers who help us operate: email, hosting, document storage and applicant tracking. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal data. We do not rent or trade candidate lists. We do not share your information with advertisers.
Cross-border transfers
Our representative office in Dubai means some communications may be read by colleagues outside India. Some service providers store data outside India. Where that happens, the data remains subject to this policy and to our instructions, and any dispute about it is governed by Indian law and heard at Gurugram.
How long we keep it
Employer enquiry records are retained for the duration of the relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Candidate records are retained while they remain relevant to the markets we search, and are reviewed periodically. Quant Network subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. We delete sooner on request, except where we are required to keep a record for legal or tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete your information, withdraw consent, or stop contacting you. Email piyush@sytalent.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may escalate it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Our grievance contact is the same address.
Security
We hold candidate and client information in access-controlled systems and limit access to the consultants working on the relevant mandate. Executive search involves confidential information about people's careers and about our clients' hiring plans, and we treat both accordingly. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is intended for working professionals and for employers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Using this site
You may read, quote and link to anything published here. If you quote figures, tables or research from this site, please attribute SYTalent and link to the page you took it from. You may not republish substantial portions of our research as your own work, scrape the site at a scale that affects its operation, or present our material as though it came from someone else.
What the research on this site is, and is not
We publish compensation benchmarks, market intelligence and hiring guides. Three things follow from that.
Compensation figures are planning benchmarks, not offers, quotations or guarantees. Our bands are modelled ranges with a stated method, published so that employers can budget and candidates can orient themselves. They are not a representation of what any particular employer will pay or any particular candidate will receive.
Nothing here is legal, financial, tax or investment advice. We describe regulatory requirements, such as the appointment conditions the Reserve Bank of India attaches to control functions, because they shape who can be hired. That description is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, and regulation changes.
Market information goes stale. Every page carries a date. Read it. We review pages and update them, but we cannot warrant that every figure is current at the moment you read it.
Accuracy and liability
We take considerable care with what we publish, we check claims against sources, and we correct errors when they are pointed out. We do not warrant that the site is free from error or that it will always be available. To the extent permitted by law, SYTalent is not liable for loss arising from decisions taken in reliance on material published here. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
Links to other sites
We link to regulators, surveys, publications and companies where it helps the reader. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. A link is not an endorsement.
Intellectual property
The research, written content, tables, structure and design of this site belong to SYTalent, except where we have attributed material to someone else. Company names and marks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners, and are used to describe the market, not to imply any association.
Confidentiality of enquiries
Search enquiries are treated as confidential. If you tell us about a role you have not yet announced, that information is not shared outside the consultants working on it, and is not published.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site, are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction.
Editorial standards
Last updated 3 October 2026.
What we publish
We publish four kinds of pages: hiring guides for employers, role guides that serve employers and candidates, market and compensation intelligence, and explanations of the systems and concepts behind quant finance and financial technology. Each page has one clear purpose and answers its main question near the top.
How we source claims
- Definitions and technical explanations reflect widely accepted industry and academic usage.
- Market facts, such as firm locations, regulatory requirements or hiring activity, cite the source we relied on, and the page shows when it was last updated.
- Published compensation research states its method, its vintage and its limitations. Where we publish a modelled band rather than an observed figure, we say so on the page and we do not present a midpoint as a statistical median.
- Professional judgement drawn from the searches we run is presented as judgement, not as data.
- Descriptive facts about SYTalent itself, such as the number of clients we work with or the size of our network, are our own statements about our own business rather than published research, and are not presented as sourced findings.
Where our compensation data comes from
Our benchmarks triangulate three layers: institutional salary-budget surveys, which we name and link; published secondary market research, which we read for direction and spread rather than reproduce; and SYTalent's own mandate and offer evidence from the searches we run. Where a source does not publish enough methodological detail for direct comparison, we do not reproduce its figures. Where the public evidence for a role is thin, we say so on the page rather than implying a precision the data cannot support.
How pages are produced
Research, structure and drafting are assisted by AI tools. Every page is then checked claim by claim against its sources and read by a partner with relevant domain knowledge before publication. Nothing is published as unedited AI output. Where a page carries a reviewer, that person has read it against its sources.
Independence
Pages mention firms, including competitors, where it helps the reader. Mentions are not paid. We do not accept payment to include, exclude or rank any firm, and we do not sell links.
Corrections and updates
We review pages regularly and change the date shown when content changes meaningfully. Compensation benchmarks are reviewed annually and sooner if a material input changes. To report an error, email piyush@sytalent.com. We correct factual errors promptly and, where a correction is material, note it on the page.
Common questions
Does SYTalent sell or share candidate data?
No. SYTalent does not sell personal data, does not rent or trade candidate lists, and does not share candidate information with advertisers. Candidate details are shared with a client only with that candidate's agreement, and only the information needed to assess the role.
How did SYTalent get my details if I never contacted you?
Executive search identifies potential candidates through public professional sources such as LinkedIn and company websites. When we first contact you we tell you who we are, why we are approaching you and where we found your details. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete it.
How do I ask SYTalent to delete my data?
Email piyush@sytalent.com and ask. We respond within 30 days. The same address handles access requests, corrections, withdrawal of consent and grievances under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Can I quote SYTalent's compensation data?
Yes. Quote it, cite SYTalent and link to the page you took it from. The figures are modelled planning benchmarks with a stated method, not offers or guarantees, so describe them that way.
Which law governs this site?
Indian law. The courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this site, its terms or our handling of personal data, including for users contacting us through our Dubai representative office.
Is the content on this site written by AI?
Research, structure and drafting are assisted by AI tools. Every page is then verified claim by claim against its sources and read by a partner with domain knowledge before publication. Nothing is published as unedited AI output.
